πŸ’°How much does a billboard cost?+

It depends on the market, the location, traffic, size and whether the board is lit or digital. As a rough guide, a static bulletin in a suburban or growth-corridor market often runs about $900 to $3,000 per 4-week period. Illuminated boards in the same area can run two to three times the rate of an unlit board, and premium markets like Los Angeles or Times Square cost more. Tell us your market and budget and we will send real, current options.

πŸ“…Why are billboards billed every 4 weeks instead of monthly?+

Outdoor companies sell space in 4-week periods, which works out to 13 periods a year instead of 12 months. Your posting dates, renewals and invoices all follow that 4-week cycle, so we schedule everything around it and send clear payment calendars.

πŸ–¨οΈIs there a separate production or printing cost?+

Yes. Static billboards need a printed vinyl, which is a one-time production charge. For a full-size 14′ x 48′ bulletin that is often around $750 to $950 including installation, depending on the vendor. Digital billboards have no printing cost because your ad is uploaded as a file.

πŸ“‰Do longer campaigns get better rates?+

Usually, yes. Vendors give their best pricing on longer commitments, such as a full 13-period (one year) campaign. We also watch for discounted and last-minute availability and pass those openings on to you.

🎁What is included when I work with Bray?+

Every campaign comes with planning, negotiation and one point of contact across every outdoor company. Depending on the package, artwork design, installation coordination and drone proof-of-performance photos can be included at no extra charge. Your proposal spells out exactly what is included.

πŸ“What do you need from me to send a quote?+

Just four things: when you want to start, how long you want to advertise, whether you want static, digital or both, and the area or audience you want to reach. A rough budget helps us show the best options first.

⏳What is the minimum campaign length?+

Most billboards are sold in 4-week periods, so 4 weeks is the typical minimum. Some digital boards and event-driven placements can run shorter flights, and longer runs unlock better pricing.

⚑How fast can my billboard go live?+

Digital billboards can often launch within days once your artwork is approved. Static billboards usually take about 1 to 2 weeks for printing and installation, and rush printing is available when a deadline is tight.

πŸ—ΊοΈDo you only work in Southern California?+

No. We are based in Southern California and buy nationwide through 40+ outdoor operators, including Lamar, Clear Channel and OUTFRONT. In Texas, our affiliate Dallas Billboards handles the DFW market.

🀝Why use Bray instead of calling a billboard company directly?+

A billboard company can only sell you its own boards. We compare inventory across every operator in your market, negotiate the rate and contract, coordinate design and installation, and verify that your ad actually ran, all through one point of contact.

πŸ›οΈDo you work with political campaigns and events?+

Yes. We regularly run billboards for candidates, elections and time-sensitive events, from short-term flights to full campaigns. Let us know your dates early so we can secure the best locations.

🎨Do you design the artwork?+

Yes. Our art director designs billboards built to be read in seconds at highway speed. You can also send your own artwork and we will check it against the vendor’s exact specs before it goes to print.

πŸ“What file and size do you need?+

Every board has its own specs, so we send the exact dimensions and file format for your locations. A full-size bulletin is typically 14′ x 48′, posters are about 10′ x 22′ to 12′ x 25′, and digital boards use a pixel size set by the vendor. We handle the formatting for you.

πŸ”Can I change my artwork during the campaign?+

Yes. On digital boards, changes are quick and usually free. On static boards, a new design means a new vinyl print and an installation, and we can store your original vinyl so it can be reposted later.

πŸ‘€What is a left-hand or right-hand read?+

It describes which side of the road the billboard faces as you drive toward it. A right-hand read sits on the right side of the road, where it is generally easier for drivers to see, so it often costs more. We note the read on every option we send.

πŸ“ΈHow do I know my billboard actually ran?+

We send proof-of-performance (POP) photos when your ad goes up, often including drone photos and video, so you can see your board in the real world and share it with your team.

πŸ“žCan you track the calls my billboard brings in?+

Yes. We can set up a dedicated tracked phone number or landing page for your campaign, so you can see how many calls and visits came from your boards.

πŸ’³How do I pay?+

We accept credit card and ACH. Production is paid before printing begins, and rental can be paid each 4-week period, set up on AutoPay, or prepaid for several periods at once.

πŸ”„What happens when my campaign ends?+

We reach out before your end date with renewal options, so you never lose a great location by accident. If you are not renewing, the vendor removes your ad, and we can save static vinyls when they are in good condition.

πŸ—οΈI own a billboard. Can you lease it for me?+

Yes. Our billboard management service handles ad sales and leasing, contracts, billing, repairs and installs, so you can enjoy the income without the day-to-day work. See our Billboard Management page for details.

πŸ’ΌCan I invest in billboards?+

We help investors, landowners and operators evaluate, buy or build billboard structures, then manage them once they are up. Visit our Billboard Investing page to start the conversation.
